What to ask before choosing weekly pool care

Build a service plan around the pool, the equipment and the way you use it.

01

Define a completed visit

Ask the provider to describe a normal service visit and how they document it. Pool size, surrounding trees, weather and use can change the work needed.

  • Surface debris, brushing and basket cleaning
  • Water testing and a written treatment record
  • Equipment observations and a way to report problems
  • Visit photos and notes you can review
02

Separate routine work from occasional work

Ask whether chemicals are included and which treatments cost extra. Confirm how filter cleaning, repairs, storm cleanup and unusual contamination are handled. Ask what happens when weather or access prevents a scheduled visit.

03

Make communication easy

Give the technician safe access instructions and a preferred contact method. Ask how urgent equipment findings are escalated and when you will receive a service report. Review the plan when pool use or equipment changes.
