Build a clear budget for recurring home services

A monthly price is useful, but an annual view can reveal costs that only appear a few times a year.

01

List regular and occasional costs separately

Record the monthly service price, visit frequency and included work. Then add separately billed tasks such as periodic cleaning, seasonal work or equipment checks. Use written quotes rather than assumed market averages.

02

Compare a full year

Multiply monthly charges by the number of billed months and add the quoted occasional items. Keep a separate allowance for repairs that are outside the service agreement. Label any allowance as your estimate.

03

Review the agreement

Ask about price changes, cancellation terms, skipped visits and extra-work approval. Confirm who receives the visit reports and invoices. Revisit the budget when your service scope changes.
